Hey, you got Kouji's pic uploaded too! Yours is a very promising S601 -- looks nice. I like the color scheme -- are those white seats? They're lower-profile than stock -- perhaps for a rider with shorter legs?

Here's the weird thing -- my blue 601 and your blue 601 both have a blue cowl, but Kouji's cowl is white. I wonder if that was stock. Honestly, I prefer the looks of the blue cowl, and had assumed it was stock. I'll have to ask Kouji if his color scheme is original.

Hey Tom, is that the original colour on your early 601. Seems they came in a few different schemes than the old gold and white. I have a 601b pull start model that's a kind of deep pinkish red and ivory

Re: Tom K's Rabbit photos

Hi, Tim!
My Rabbit was brought from the Philippine Islands by an air force serviceman in the late 1960s who had bought it there. I have been told that blue and white was for Rabbits meant for the Japan market.
Gold and white was for the US market. Every other one I have seen (which isn't many) have all been gold and white.
Maybe red and white was the color scheme for the Australian market. Have you seen other red and white rabbits over there?
BTW, still trying to remove that fuel gauge for you. The gas tank is really stuck. Hope to have it out soon.

Mine was originally Gold and white but I went for the japanese colour scheme, just for something different. Most Rabbits down here are either gold and white or the ones that were used for the postal service are (post box)red and white. I'm waiting to here from a guy who has a postie rabbit still with all the panniers and bags.So hopefully I'll have some pics of that soon.
