my first scooter
not sure what i have and what it my be worth as is and restored..i'm doing a paint job on a hotrod and person wants to trade this in on labor cost but have no ideal what it my be worth..i want the scooter to restore and use as a track bike to get around on at the drag strip..can someone tell me
[1]what i have as to year and model[no title]know it is a fuji rabbit;;
[2]what would it be worth say after i take it in on trade and decide i want to move it and get my money back i allowed as trade-in on paint job;
thanks and will be picking everyones brain on this one..not a harley or hotrod so i'm lost already.
donam i allowed to put pics on here off my photobucket?only way i know how to do.

Just looking over the rabbit-house Rabbit owners' list, it appears your s was built about Aug-Sep 1963.
As for title tricks, I'm in the same boat with my S601 . . . the title companies want a couple hundred bucks or more, and I understand they give you a tag and registration from their state. I have no idea how those things will get you a title in your (and for me in mine) state. Maybe someone knowledgeable will come on and give us the secrets of getting a title.

As for getting a title -- every state is different. My state (Washington) is a big pain in the butt, and the title services now charge an arm and a leg, even for a low-value scooter (they charge $250!).Check with your local DMV/Department of Licensing.
This is a very common issue -- scooters sit for decades and owners lose the titles...I'd check in over at scooterbbs.com, which is a site with lots of traffic and many owners of classic scooters with the same title issues.
