Jetting for an S202

I have a 1963 S202; I have it almost running but I am having a problem with the carburetor. It is completely clean, not a speck of gunk on it but gas is not reaching the spark plug; We think it may be a jetting issue, does anyone know the correct jets used in an S202 model, or what the carb settings are (idle etc...)?

Owner's manual says "the standard setting of the air screw is 1 1/4 turns back after fully tightening". In winter they recommend 1 to 1 1/4 turns out for easier starting. They don't mention the correct jets -- this is just the owner's manual; I don't have a shop manual for that model. They also mention that the idle screw goes clockwise to increase RPM and counterclockwise to decrease RPM.

You're getting fuel into the float bowl? But no fuel into the combustion chamber? That really sounds like a clogged jet to me. Did you try opening the throttle wide while kicking or pressing the starter button? Sure, the wrong jetting can make a bike run rich or lean, but having no fuel get to the combustion chamber sounds more like a clog than bad jetting to me.

Do you have the owner's manual? I have a very ugly scan that I haven't yet cleaned up; I could put up the ugly version now if you don't have anything...

If you have a copy you could post (ugly or no) that would be super helpful.

We have tried changing the Jets and messing with the carb settings and we are certainly getting closer to a constant idle. But the settings you posted will really really help, thank you!!

I am a new player to this system, I have a 1964 rabbit which needs piston rings which I am unable to locate. If you have any information I would appreciate it.. chance4 [email protected]
